meet_me,
we need to talk about a lot of things. and yes, sense doesn’t make much sense these days. and no, i believe everything happens for a reason.

hey parul,
thanks for dropping-by. khan market or andheri? m confused.

soumyadip,
cool man! dilli ka dil bahut bada hai, and many of the people who swear by it are non-delhiites. as for metroblogging, u can atleast fill out their form and keep your fingers crossed. they’ll be checking out our blogs 😉 n then decide on the invitation part.

obi wan,
subah ka bhoola shaam ko ghar wapas aa jaye to use bhoola nahin kehte. waiting for de post 🙂

pino dear,
puttar, phoote hue matke ki tarah phoot-phoot ke rona to sadi kismat vich pya haiga. tussi, tension na lo, assi m-seal laga lvange.

a questionable frame of mind, hmmm???

  • what is common between a trousseau box, a family hair brush & a mobile accesory?
(have to write a headline combining all these into one not-to-be-missed-offer…)

dedicated to my dear anonymous, meet_me

what do you do when,
lots of questions swin around in your mind?
like hungry hammer-head sharks
on discovery channel
searching for their prey
a single electric impulse
locks on the target
and some poor squid
has seen the last of its day

  • why does the client arrives when you are packing-up for the day?

what do you do when,
lots of questions trouble your mind?
and you are scared of answers
too easy to find
life is like a tv channel
with my own reality show
i’m the hero, i’m the victim
i’m reaping, what others sow

  • why does apsy feel blue, when she has all the love in the world to look forward to?

am in a very funny mood now. this was written just on impulse. seems a good de-cluttering exercise.

  • why is delhi cooler than normal these mornings and hotter than average in the afternoons?

actually, was quite blue since yesterday evening. yesterday or tomorrow? somehow, i always manage to confuse myself within these two.

  • and why does one particular song always brings back ‘that’ face to your mind?

okay, so where was i? a question again. this is a very questionable frame of mind i find myself in. hmmm…

i am blue becasue of my past. one single little incident can throw my life completely out of gear. and that happenned yesterday. with a sense of dread, i approached this day. and nothing happenned. why? why can’t bad things happen when we are expecting them? when we come fully prepared for them.

  • and this is serious. who’ll help ‘bandhu’ get a job with an NGO in uttranchal? pls. do reply.

is that what life is all about? some questions, whose answer we think we are about to find, and then life changes its question.. weird isn’t it?? yes, dear anonymous, it is.

  • and why the hell i miss bugs, when i’ve just been very bad to her?

hence, the best way out for me today was to laugh. smirk, grin, pass a comment on that fear. you are nothing o fear! i’ve the power to defeat you. i’ll laugh out loud. i’ll pull suman’s leg, i’ll take rashmi’s hair clip and hide it away somewhere, i’ll answer all my questions with a question. ‘what if’ will be clobbered with ‘why not’. how will be conquered by when. i’ve a life to live yaar.

some more questions i asked around in the office. ‘just tell me the first question that comes to your mind’ i asked. just for kicks;)

  • what is what? – ashok
  • kya hua? (what happenned?)- babu da
  • sorry, koi sawal hi dimaag mein nahin aa raha
(am sorry, no q is coming to my mind) 🙁 – neeru
  • humein koi accha kyon lagta hai? (why do we like someone?)- rashmi
  • and an answer by suman, ‘sharma ji se poocho’. (ask sharma ji) sharma ji is our poor translator who does the exciting work of transferring my or client’s pathetic copy into exquisite foreign languages.

“woh mere saamne baithi hai magar, us se kuch baat na ho payi hai. main ishara bhi agar karta hoon, is mein hum dono ki ruswai hai”, yeah am listening to ashiqi.

tuesday afternoon

hmmm…. it feels nice, people actually taking time to read whatever you post, and actually commenting on that, thanks obi wan and thanks shadows.

left at 3am, ‘abhijeet’-the dear client had to deliver the layout to his office, and as i was getting a ride back home, half an extra hour didn’t matter that much. reached home at around 3:30. and as i’d suspected, nobody opened the gate despite my repeated shoutings, bangings and pleadings. actually, i’d told ‘ma’ i’ll be back by 12 to 1, and the good pativrata nari she is, she made ‘pa’ sit whole night waiting for me. and when i reached home, poor ‘pa’ had dozed off.

so, on the stairs outside the gate at 3:30am i remembered ‘dee’. she was the first one who came to my mind. i messaged her about my plight, and voila, i got a reply instantly. had no idea she was still awake. she’d to do some urgent presentations today. and then she called. god, i could have talked to her for ever then. thanks ‘dee’. u r a gem of a friend.

shadows, a marathon? and then u complain me not writing much. good for apsy. swot will take time, so the 50 items too. and the best thing is that, i seem to have misplaced the ‘creative journal’ i carried around, wherein all the to-do lists and poems were written. ‘dudo’ is the girl i’ll miss forever now. don’t wanna talk about that. and last, take it ‘easy’ buddy;)

obi wan, to-do lists are extremely energizing for me. they make me believe that atlast i’ve got hold of my life. its another thing, i never come around completing even 25% of those. as for ‘chandrakanta’, why was that not on your list? the greatest mystery-indrajal-tilism epic ever written in hindi, how could you have missed that. and ‘santati’ ah, if there ever was a sequel better than the original, it was this. i first read it when i was 12. then an uncle took it away. then, after a couple of years i purchased another version from the world book fair. this time around the 10th boards examination. papa says, chandrakanta is responsible for me missing my distinction.

am at the office, talking to bugs on one hand and typing this out.

i don’t like this month of april, it stretches too long. and it begins with a fool’s day.

some very bad things are happening to me. I don’t know whether I’ll be able to post something or not for a few days.

goodness gracious me

oh me gosh!
have so much work to do,
recently showed my to-do list to ‘bandhu’
he said, is this for your complete life?
at the very least i’ve lined-up 40-50 items to do in the next week or so.
and these are completely separate from the official or family duties.

some of these consist of my blogosphere too.

like pino must know who autumn is and on his request i’ve to tell the world about bugs too. yes bugs, kapde to utarenge hi! then there comes around five little poems that are screaming to grab my attention. all of them are just two or three lines away from completion. there are two tags to be fulfilled (tags are like promises), one from apsy, one from soumyadip. there are few little stories to be told about big important people called friends in my life.

“seekh le beta drivery, phoote tere karam
din mein khana nahin, sona agle janam”

taken from the back side of a truck. contributed by bandhu.
roughly translated to the blues a good job like copywriting brings to you.
it is nearly 2 in the night or the morning, depends on how optimistic you are, and am still at the office thinking about what i should and should not be doing. a little bit of alcohol and an early morning dinner in the company of an adorable client does wonders to your writing skills. well.

‘digression’ thy middle name is adi. where was i? read a lot of blogs today. all the 26 odd blogs i’ve bookmarked. sunday was equally good. went to the doctor’s. quite improvement i showed in the recent weeks, despite not taking medicine for the last couple of weeks;) then met ‘shaitan’ and afterwards ‘sachin’. phir, i went over to c.p. to do some shopping with apsy. purchased two pairs of shoes. was looking for a little bag also at janpath but couldn’t find it. i’m looking for something casual for sundays. prefarably a shoulder bag, nice and light. have to buy some other little things also. next sunday, perhaps.

what the heck? bye, good night.
miss you dudo.
pino i call her ‘dudo’.
miss her very much.
and ‘bandhu’ is my dear old graphic designer, who makes my hindi poems possible to be displayed here.

unloved…

am free of love.
at least for the time being;)
found it, lost it,
and the best part is being ignored by the one you love.
ignorance is the worst form of abuse.
am free of life.
one more reason less to live.
and bugsy says, she knows how i feel.
i agree bugsy.
but u had someone to tell to.
all i have is this.

thinking about sunday on a monday morning

to Bugs & to Megs
(the only two people interested in my daily life)
and to ‘Chi’
(who would like to know more)

and to ‘anonymous’
(who is willing to live)
and
especially to ‘Jini’
(because she grants wishes)

hmmm…
sunday was a good day. in totality & in its many individual pieces.
was at home till 12. thought a lot about what i’ve been thinking these days. but being a stickler to details, i miss the forest for the trees. & sometimes when i see the forest, i bump into those very trees. result? i’m still confused about what to do, when i need not be. nobody thinks about his or her life in such detail as i do and still feel confused. hey Bhagwan, mera kya hoga?

went to meet Amul. it takes around 1.5 to 2 hours by bus to reach ‘Rani Bagh’ from my place. i utilised it well by ‘thinking BIG’. chose a blue line bus over a dtc one. because it takes more time. actually much more than it should be allowed. but i’d to read.

the second test match between India & England is on. today is the last day. we were within sniffing distance of victory as the commentators say. till this morning, 8 wickets have fallen, and we are truly looking at victory now. it seemed highly improbable at one time because of nearly two days play lost thanks to bad weather. (i think my language is being really affected by Sidhuism)
and what a match that was. between Australia & South Africa. whooping, humongous, a CNN-IBN headline was fully apt, ‘First Australia wrote history & then SAF re-wrote it’. just think of it, 434 runs scored by the aussies and the proteas responded by a magnificent 438 off the penultimate ball.

no Sachin, no Gudiya meant it was a quite bored afternoon. Sachin sa’b is out on his trip to ‘Mata Vaishno Devi’ temple in Jammu. will be returning on the 15th. Gudiya is busy with her exams. she is our little sister whom God chose to gift Amul as a sibling. and spared us of her tantrums. 😉

now what do you do on a boring sunday afternoon? Amul utilised his time wisely, cleaning the cd player he hasn’t cleaned since buying. and afterwards practicing surgery on all the remotes in the household. i preferred to read the resultant notes of last week’s internet surfing, printed by amul at his office.

had lunch at 4pm, went out to ‘experience’ RDB once again. better not say ‘watching’ it. Amul saw the movie for the first time and he was impressed. more so ‘churned’ inside. of all the people I’ve met, he had the more balanced view of the movie. if only ms. anonymous could share her views on the movie…
oh! and my phone is still on. that scoundrel has been keeping it on and we ringed him repetitively. also messaged him to return the phone as it’ll be of no use to him. will wait till afternoon to completely block the number or transfer it to a new phone.

the day after tomorrow is Holi. i don’t normally celebrate it, but this time it might be different. and my introspective, mind ‘manthan’ is still on.
