धड़कने नहीं सुनी धरती की, मद्धम
न धूप को छेड़ा, न हवा संग खेला

न बीज बोए बारिशों के, न फसल काटी सपनों की

चाँद से बातें नहीं की अपने
न शब्दों को तराशा, न एहसास पिरोये लड़ियों में

बहुत दिन हो गए अब

its been so long
since i heard the earth’s heartbeat faint
neither teased sunshine
nor with the breeze i played

since i tilled the clouds
neither sowed the seeds of rains
nor the crop of dreams i reaped

its been so long
since i talked with my love – the moon
either sculpted these words of mine
nor any feelings i strung

but… not anymore, not anymore
been too long it already is
