looking into her eyes
i saw shock & numbness
of seeing a playground turning into graveyard
of a heaven turned into hell
of seeing a playground turning into graveyard
of a heaven turned into hell
no more schools
no more playmates
no more family
no more childhood
all that is left
is death & devastation
in his bewildered eyes
i saw the questions of a nation
is there any one in the rubble
has anyone survived
no more villages
no more towns
no more jobs
no more future
all that is left
are ruins & cremation
there is a father in that picture
there is a daughter there too
and someone is tearing inside me
asking what I’ll do
what will i do my dear friend
and what will you do
