yeah right dude

when the india-head of the company makes the first ‘new year’ visit to his delhi office, he comes around especially to meet the ‘bright and young copywriter’ he has heard about. a lot perhaps. or it may be because of the mail this copy guy sent him about ‘hoping to show him some good work’ in the year.
now, this fella, our copywriter was happily taking his post lunch nap at 1:30 in the afternoon and only some intuition and a timely phone call from his girlfriend saved him from relegation.
and that he sheepishly greeted the president in half sleep and doesn’t remember anything said or conveyed is an understatement of sorts.
strangely, boss has been behaving a little pissed off since.

yeah right, dude.

The India Gate and surrounding lawns have been taken over by the security personnel these days. The Republic Day is near (26th) and the area is being used for rehersals of the parade and sanitised for security reasons.

changing the way India travels

i kinda like this ad. succinctly it says whatever was left to say. its the end of all ‘speculation, debate and talk.’ now, the car has taken centerstage. its the proper launch ad, letting the product do the talking. i wish Tatas all the best. and pray for the Indian traffic conditions. now, the way India travels will be changed for ever.

“If you only indulge yourself, write only about yourself, then its appeal for readers would be limited. You won’t be reading a collective consciousness, you won’t be presenting a collective experience. You’ll just be talking to yourself.”

– Krishna Sobti, in a ‘freewheeling chat’ with First City, January 08 issue. By the way, I LOVE this magazine. One of my essential reads over a month.

her photographs are poems

the image clicked,
a moment kept at rest, in momentum forever
words swirling around in the ether
waiting to come alive, on paper
a photograph is a seed
from it, poetry flowers

a photographer not only clicks images, in those very photographs, she clicks her self too. there is the ever present individual in any work of art produced. here, i am talking about a dear fellow-blogger, ashwathy, the photographer, who ‘dreams in metaphors.’
go check her blog, here, and see what i intend to put in words.
as always, won’t be able to say much, except, that i wish i’d clicked these images myself.

picture courtsey, ashwathy.
